I thought the warnings were just similar to what Damien felt from Lacer’s will just with her as the actual target.
Maybe - but they do seem to come a second before the magic hits her.
She definitely has a way to modify his memory (Chekov’s dazzler).
She has a way to calm down the vow (Red Guard said I could research the forbidden knowledge).
She has at least two surprises in her head (the Forbidden Love Interest AKA Amber Eyes and the lost memories of yore).
Oh, third surprise in her head - memories of being Sebastian 
She also has a fancy casting stick to beat him with.
Admittedly, it is Lacer that she’s up against. It’s entirely possible that she fails to get away. But just imagine if she does? Take that, Mr “Sebastien doesn’t have enough combat experience”!
