Part of me wonders if his compassion and concern are entirely real, or if they’re partially motivated by this strange compulsion people have to like Siobhan. And, how furious he’ll be when he finds out he’s been exposed to whatever it is that may be locked in her head.
He seems to have strong emotions regarding her, and seems to be deeply concerned, but I can’t get past her general discomfort over his behavior.
I hate how true I think this might be.
I’ve often thought that he views having an apprentice quite like having a pet - maybe not something as needy as a dog, but like a gerbil or maybe an outdoor cat. Or, when I’m being less charitable, possibly a plant. (Oh, darn. I killed it. I really liked that one. . . I guess I’ll put the next one in a different spot!)
