This chapter made me feel like a proud mother eagle watching my adopted chicken hatchling learning to fly.
Have any of you ever raised “wild” chickens? Before they were bred to death for the food industry, chickens could, kinda sorta, fly. Not very well, and not for very long. But, you know, they could get off the ground and wildly flap through the air a bit before crashing down again.
