Comment here with predictions as to what Siobhan’s journal will contain. I’m banking that it’ll be a legit journal regarding Myrddins study into the “global conscious” that magic seems to come from. It’d be an indirect power-up that may lead Siobhan to playing way harder into her Raven Queen persona.

I’m not going to speculate on what it might contain, and I think Azalea likes us too much to actually do this, but I will say that it would be hilarious if this one was just a mundane journal complaining about the petty squabbles of lords and mages from his time.
In that case if would still be valuable, and there probably would be a lot of magical secrets that could still be mined from an account of his daily life.
Just hundreds of entries of, “Today that jerk Franklinson posted another notice declaring himself the greatest mage of our times and challenging me to a duel. Honestly, I mostly just feel sorry for him. I feel like I’m going to have to accept because I can’t let this stand, but if I do will there ever be a time when I get a moment of peace to just focus on my work without a dozen different upstarts trying to make their name off my back?” and just lots of angst over it.

There’s ton of possibilities tbh:
- the book has knowledge related to the amulet/how to make similar artifacts
- every book is the same and was meant to be disseminated around the world (low possibility imo)
- you need all 5 books for the conduit creation stuff (that would really put Oliver in a bind), it could be in the form of clues to find the “real” hermitage
- the point of the book was to train splitting your will and the content is relatively mundane
…
My headcanon is that Myrddin figured out a way to cast without a conduit, only by applying your Will to affect the world, and the books explain his journey to get there (among other things he has discovered), and the lock on the book is the first exercise to get there.

It will contain a great esoteric spell that requires a lot of preparation to cast, during an eclipse. She will put a lot of effort into it, but in the end barely manage to cast the spell.
She hears faint drums, as if a portal opened to a different world.
How could she make the spell work better?
Then an old rhyme suddenly pops into her mind and she realizes that she needs to dance to the drums.
This does the trick, and finally she can observe the spell in full effect:

I am hoping it would be a record of Myrddin’s (hypothetical) investigation into soul magic/whatever it is the shamans do. Largely because I am curious about the alternative magic system, and the possibly forgotten rituals and such would help the Raven Queen aspect of S do fun stuff.
