What are some possible upcoming events in Siobhan’s/Sebastian’s life you are looking forward to?
It’s been several books since it last got mentioned, but I wonder if we’ll still get the annual Gervin soiree in the fall that Lord Gervin invited Sebastian to after Ana’s operation against her uncle. They would’ve been invited shortly before the end of their first term, and they only just finished their second term, so it could still happen sometime soon. When Sebastian first got invited, they might’ve just been an interesting up-and-coming thaumaturge to network with, but now that they’ve had a duel with the High Crown’s heir, surely they’ll get deeply embroiled in Thirteen Family politics. I’d also like to see some other major players in the nobility as well as more family names/specialties.
One that I’m sure is on a lot of people’s lists would be Damien’s “induction” into Sebastian’s secret society. Sebastian hinted in the past to Damien that it really isn’t all that large, or something similar, so will this lead to a bit more transparency, or will they make another layer of lies? Ana expressed that she wanted in as well, so Siobhan has to be cautious, since Ana may not fall for the same lies that Damien would.
I’m lowkey a bit excited for Sebastian picking their new classes as well. We’ve been told that they have to keep taking the same 4 classes for at least 3 terms, Siobhan has repeatedly stated that they value what Defense brings to the table, and they have to take the next Practical Will-casting as the apprentice of Lacer (though it’s pretty clear that they would take this class even if it wasn’t mandatory for them because of how useful it is), but the last time Sebastian picked their schedule, we learned a lot about which classes the University has to offer, and potentially about Sebastian’s future choices. I’m sure it won’t be a long segment, just a handful of paragraphs in a larger chapter, but I love seeing little details like this.
And finally, a few other things: the next time Sebastian has their capacity measured in public (since they got so much attention last time), finding out more about the magical beast situation in Silva Erde (in one of Sebastian’s history books, there was a margin mentioning the Beast King, and recently one of the newspapers had a blurb about an increase in magical beasts in their forests), and seeing what Sebastian might spend their contribution points on (when they were looking at the prizes and saw a joint private room, Damien looked contemplative).
There are a few things I didn’t mention because they’d be in the latest chapters, which I couldn’t bring up in this category, but what are some other things people wanna see?
