I propose “The Queens Kindness”
The Nightmare Flock
The Nightmare Court
The Nightmare Conspiracy
The Nevermore
Omg, I just had a thought
The heartbeats
Make that connection to Poe, while also calling out how she will help hers and seems to actually care.
Inspired by whoever said nevermore, my eyes are starting to hurt, but I saw that and my mind went a different direction.
I can’t wait to see what she picks.
I still stand by my stance of they should have sub groups because they all have different ideas of their best way to follow but respect and allow other ways.
inhumanity
Nightmare
fugue
Sciophobia(the sciophants)
dream eaters
Lucid dreamers
Conspirators of penitence
Cradle of dreams
Harbringer
One last option from me:
The Awakened
It has flavors of meaning that incorporate never sleeping or lucid dreaming, the feat of pulling people out of the sensory deprivation spell, and also of them feeling like they have been enlightened.
This is…excellent. The superiority, the religious overtones, the simplicity.
Something about it is giving strong TWD vibes, and I’m here for it. Your suggestions are always great!
Would be nice to hit on both the raven aspect and the shadow aspect. Some combination of
Shadow / dark / black
Raven / feather / wing
And then something to denote they are asking for favor they know they may not get. I saw a comment using “petitioner” which I liked. Or maybe supplicants
E.g. shadow wing supplicants ![]()
The unkind court maybe?
I personally prefer simpler names:
- The Shadowed Flock
- The Feathers of the Covenant
- The Keepers of the Pact
- The Witnesses of the Raven
She’s The Raven Queen so shouldn’t she have a crown? She could be the unofficial 14th Crown or “The Shadow Crown” and her followers could be members of the House of Shadows or Ravens. And OMG how bad would that cheese off the Crowns?
Cult Name: Flock of the Twilit Nest
Cultist Name: (Her) Feathers/The Flock
Example 1: “Faith hooked him more than drink did. These days he’s part of the Flock, another Feather in the Twilit Nest.”
Example 2: “I’s like to welcome all of Her Feathers to our Twilit Nest!”
Cult Name: The Echoing Sky
Cultist Name: Whispers/Wisps
Example 1: “There’s word of another Wisp trying to spread the faith uptown.”
Example 2: “Why ‘Echo’? Well what else would you call a room full of whispers with the same words on all the lips?”
Cult Name: Diarists of the Dreamcloaked Raven
Cultist Name: Clerics/Featherbrains
Example 1: “…the Featherbrained idiot thinks every-odd-thing she dreams about is the Raven Queen sending her on quests.”
Example 2: “Diligently writing of your dreams is an important part of being a Cleric! For while the Raven Queen cannot be touched by paltry divination, she does speak to us in other ways. Those deep enough in the path find themselves able to walk awake in their dreams…”
Cult Name: The Feathernight Parade
Cultist Name: Traceless Marchers/Quietboys
Example 1: “There’s something disconcerting about these Quietboys, doing nuthing but hum and whistle…”
Example 2: “She wanders without a trace-- bar what little she wishes to be found. Dancing through nightmares with a formless song in her heart. We who walk in her name shall do the same, Traceless Marchers one and all.”

I had to dive in on this. How about The Caws,
Pronounced the same as The Cause, with emphasis changing depending on the audience.
"Just as a simple Caw is the voice of a Raven, WE are the voice of the RAVEN QUEEN!! "
incidentally never trust anyone who speaks in capital letter with multiple exclamation marks.
Let’s go back to Chapter 184 – Ritual Under Moonlight – Azalea Ellis for ideas. This is what her subconscious (or maybe what’s behind the seal) says of the Raven Queen. And I’m still hoping that Siobhan’s symbol winds up somehow becoming the dominant symbol of her cult. Given Siobhan’s symbol far more power and influence than she was ever bargaining for.
I am a changeling like the seasons,
A daughter of shadow and light,
Of Charybdis mists and raven’s flight,
And always I seek after mysteries.Shadows of the past become shades of the present.
Old scars peel open like doors.
And a hungry sky watches
As I sing the dead to life.As I ornament this veil with thorns,
I shall drink the sea to quench my thirst.
The taste of nothing on my tongue
Will be a knife as sharp as its wielder.Mark me, scarred and tattered witness of days,
One who weaves the thread that still is woven.
Heed me, one who howls unheard.
I command you. Grant me eyes that see.
Let’s see.
- Petitioners of Mystery
- Eyes of the Raven.
- Bargainers with Shadow.
- Shadow Watchers
- Thorns of the Shade
And I’m sure that someone more creative than I am could brainstorm even more from this!
The Shadow touched Court (of the Raven Queen)
…
The touched
Shadows …
Shades?
The penumbra…
So this is a use of synonyms and antonyms
The plural of Raven = Unkindness
A synonym of Unkindness = Merciless
Antonym of Merciless = Mercy
So the cult
Veiled Mercy of Shadows
A follower would just be a Raven’s Mercy or just Mercy for short
The play on words fits into Lacer’s and the general populace’s belief that Sioban is whimsical yet vindictive. So a “mercy” given to relieve someone’s pain could be healing, or death. At times being kind is cruelty, while a cruel act might teach an enduring lesson that is more helpful in the long run. Without adversity how is one to know success?

I have compiled the suggestions on this forum for Azalea to review. If you still have more suggestions, please add them, but tag me or pm me so that she will be able to consider them for the contest.
Thanks everyone - these are all great!!!
It’s almost as if you want us to stop and pay attention to what you wrote
Absolutely not.

“The raven’s flock” is kinda basic but I think it works.
It’s lovely to see you! Unfortunately, she picked a name already (and she didn’t pick mine!
) Moderators, is it safe to share the name she picked here, or is that too much spoiler?
