Finally, blue is back to the series, but i loved the other books just a much, I can wait.
I want to point out I have just finished chapter 20 of the latest book (5?)
~i still don’t think blue is wrong about the red guard encouraging if not actually causing some of the break events
But I am sure that’s not the whole story, they weren’t around when Newton broke (unless she does end up becoming one, one day, or someone else who was there)
No, my theory about why the break events are happening more frequently is built up on what was my other theory (which was kinda confirmed)
Magic is (a thinking being). To do most magics that we see in the book, it is basically bullied and forced until it bends and follows the will. If your will is strong and clear enough you can make it do whatever.
It is known that there is other ways to do magic, but most of them seem to be dying out, def not encouraged. Every path that doesn’t use a conduit seems to be looked down upon, find an excuse about why it’s not as good.
If you can’t do it by yourself using a specific limited tool, and also encourages you to just blindly follow someone else’s instructions…
Once upon a time, there was diversity about how magic was used. I am very sure beings found several new ways to use magic without it going wild, because they weren’t bullying the magic into submission.
I don’t believe we honestly know enough about the blood empire. I believe to stories about what happened has been painted deliberately in a bad light. Beings are rarely willing to acknowledge any good that might have been by the otherside, because why let them be multidimensional?
The other side needs to be simple monsters right? Keep it simple right?
I promise, this ties into what is happening.
After the university changed how many students they let in every term, I also believe that they changed how they started teaching.
Does anybody else remember when our girl was basically told to [not question your elders until you become one]
That reminds me of a scene in the wheel of time when the sitters tell Egwene that she should be a puppet until she learns the job. She understands that they want her to be a puppet so doesn’t learn how to stop being a puppet.
The university isn’t teaching the students about magic as a whole, very few teachers encourage free thought. There is a teacher who does encourage thinking sideways about history, and I wonder what kind of score that you had to get into her class
The university is teaching a very rigid use of the magic. One that it doesn’t seem to like
To be a free caster, it seems there is a lot of the stuff that students need to unlearn
Also, in that country, you can’t use magic until you start college, when you mind is starting to set in its ways, it’s easier to lock a path in, children and teens tend to experiment, if by accident, or to test boundaries.
Gestura start at 3 I believe?
Basically what I am getting at is
There is more break events because there is more beings trying to bully magic into doing everything just one way
And it’s not like the beings using said magic are encouraged to have a strong will and clear mind
No, you don’t need a strong will or clear mind, just follow my example exactly. Copypasta, use this shortcut, only. Think as I do.
There is more break events because magic doesn’t want to be used like that and is lashing out in times of stress and since more beings can’t think for themselves….
Please remember, it has been speculated that the rq is trying to get the public to bend the will of the magic (aka some other way that will remove power from those that have it) and
